We use a slice of ham and a small amount of coke or any other sweet, syrupy stuff; I'm not sure which draws wasps, but it seemed to work! Indeed, we catch a lot of them. Within minutes of placing yellow jacket traps close to the hummingbird feeders, the bees began focusing on the trap instead of the feeder. After a little over an hour, every wasp and bee was inside the trap. If you have unwelcome wasps, I would highly suggest these. They look a lot nicer and are much easier to handle than the handmade wasp traps built from lemonade bottles! These wasp traps are incredibly helpful because they collect a variety of insects, including fruit flies, and wasps are easy to catch. I don't usually write reviews unless I have something negative to say about a product, but I wanted to express my happiness with this. I heartily endorse this wasp trap!

Because the wasps were making it impossible for us to enjoy our backyard and backyard pool, I got two of these.
