The effectiveness of this thing astounds me. This year, ants and flying insects are a major problem where we live in Southern California. Hot Shot ant traps are effective! I bought them because I had small black ants in my kitchen and the bathroom next door for the first time ever. I bought the Hot Shot traps after reading the reviews here, which said that the Raid traps are ineffective and that the Hot Shot traps are effective. The ratings were accurate! I set up two traps in the bathroom and two in the kitchen corner, close to where I thought the ants would be coming from, at 8:30 in the morning.
